I am marking an essay that is just full of direct quotes which aren't properly indicated as such, the sad thing is I know exactly which book they are from and the page number in some cases.
I also wonder at the silliness of students, this one isn't plagiarising because she does cite the source, but she basically quotes whole slabs of text from wikipedia which anyone marking the essay can clearly find in 2 seconds. Go figure.
